Organic Root Stimulator Herbal Cleanse Dry Shampoo Review

Hey everyone!

It's time for a review!

Today's product is the Organic Root Stimulator Herbal Cleanse Dry Shampoo (long title, huh?)

I had planned to buy a polishing spray that contained oils in order for me to keep my hair fresh while I have it in extensions, but to my surprise I found the Herbal Cleanse Dry Shampoo. My first thought was 'wow' because I thought that the only Dry Shampoo's on the market were for Caucasian hair. I love the Organic Root Stimulator range. I use their relaxer, shampoo and conditioner so I am quite familiar with the product.

I currently use the So...? Lovely Dry Shampoo and will continue to do so as I love the volume enhancing effect but the whole aim of wearing hair extensions is for my hair to grow, so a Dry Shampoo that can do that as well as keep my hair clean is a God-send!

What I love about the Herbal Cleanse Dry Shampoo is:

The Nozzle

I haven't seen any Dry Shampoos on the market with a noozle. I felt at ease using this because with the spray cans, they need to be a certain distance away from your hair and they may leave residue on your clothes blah blah blah, so I was really impressed with the innovation (speaking from a business perspective!)

The Feeling

I only like herbs in my food, not in my products, so I was a little reluctant at first to use the product. Once I had applied it on the root of my hair, I began to feel this fresh, tingling like sensation and I still feel it now, forty five minutes later, which is great. So it definitely works.

The Before and After

I've only had my extensions in for a week and before I put them in, I use Tresemme's Shampoo and Conditioner to wash them so they still look fresh. Once I applied the product and began to massage it into my hair, I did notice my hair looking fuller.

Anything else you need to now...

It does say in the instructions to remove residue with a towel but I didn't get any residue on my clothes but I speak for myself. Everyone has different hair types and hair styles, so your experience may differ from mine.

Organic Stimulator Herbal Cleanse Dry Shampoo is priced at £2.49 and is available from leading hair shops nationwide.

So...? Dry Shampoo Review

Some of you may remember So...?, the popular teen fragrance brand. Well they've only gone and created a range of Dry Shampoos. Lovely, Glamorous, Va Va Volume and Fabulous see So...? doing what they do best: creating great products. I will be reviewing So...? Va Va Volume and So...? Lovely.

So...? Lovely definitely lived up to its name. It was easy to use and left my hair smelling great. I went to a party last night and just didn't have the time to wash my extensions so Lovely came to my rescue. It also smells very sweet and my hair looks revived.

So...? Va Va Volume is all about one thing: volume. We all want a fuller head of hair and this product definitely left my hair looking fuller. It was easy to use. It didn't flake and everyone complimented me on how bouncy my hair looked.

The So...? Dry Shampoo range (£1.49 for 150ml) is available in Savers stores nationwide.

Instructions:

Aim can 30cm away from hair

Spray evenly onto roots

Massage into hair

Brush through

Laura Mercier Secret Finish and Oil Free Supreme Foundation Review

Its review time! Its been a while since I've done a review. Today I'll be reviewing two products. They are the Laura Mercier Secret Finish and the Laura Mercier Oil Free Supreme Foundation.

First up, I'll start with the Oil Free Supreme Foundation.

If you skin type is oily, you have got to use an oil free foundation. This is because its important to avoid products that will set on the skin. An oil free foundation is free from most ingredients which are found in other foundations. I really liked this product. I was able to build it up and it was quite light. When foundation feels heavy, it just doesn't feel comfortable. People were commenting on how natural it looked as well which was a bonus. My shade is Rich Sienna.

Tips:

When applying foundation, I would recommend using two brushes. One being your foundation brush and another being a blending brush. I swear by Real Techniques Setting Brush (£8.99, Boots). It's soft, doesn't flake and is perfect for concealer wearers.

Remember that what lies underneath is the most important thing. Do your best to make sure there's enough fruits and veg in your diet, exfoliate, cleanse, moisturize, always remove your makeup no matter how late it is.

If you do have oily/combination skin and you'd like some tips, then just comment on this post or follow me on Twitter @kelle_fll with your questions.

Now, for the Secret Finish. I absolutely adored this. There aren't a lot of products you can apply once you've got make up on and have them stay put, but this was great. It gave my skin a natural glow and made my make up look fresh. Also oil free, it contains Vitamin E which is great for your skin.

How it works:

Just pat it on the area where you need it most.

Ideal for:

The eye area to keep skin from looking dry and dehydrated.

Product list:

Laura Mercier Secret Finish - £23.50
Laura Mercier Oil Free Supreme Foundation - £33.00

There Is Sunshine After The Storm

Hi everybody, I hope you all are having a great start to your weeks. I just want to share this message with you because I believe I have been called to do so. There is Sunshine After The Storm? What does that mean you ask? Well it means that no situation is permanent. We all have the power to overcome and when we do there is no greater feeling than that relief. The past two years has been a battle and a half personally, battling panic attacks, depression, anxiety, low self esteem and poor relationships and much more really took its toll and I lost a lot of myself. I lost who I was and that's what really hit me. Not everything materialistic I had lost. In Luke 12, it says you are not defined by what you own, so stop coveting possessions and all earthly things. I think I coveted a whole lot of things which just didn't matter! Whether you're spiritual or not, I believe you can learn a lot from this post. Being torn and broken inside did not make me a pretty person. I was miserable, couldn't stand being in the presence of a lot of people and really detested myself. There was something about me that I just couldn't stand.

So one day, I'm sitting down having lost all my self confidence, that poor relationship and a job and I think to myself ' I've gotta fall back in love with me again', 'I've got to do this'. ' Every single minute I spend not loving myself is a minute of my life wasted'. I needed answers. I needed the presence of God. I was desperate to study because believed that was my way out, but I heard God speak to me and he said ' if you want to study, you can study, study me'. My heartbreak, sadness and depressing demeanor drove me to the Bible, I won't lie. I sought God day in, day out. I got on my knees for the Lord like my life depended on it and I'm still falling down, humbling myself in His sight. You see the thing about growth is that it doesn't stop. Just never be satisfied. If you are not in a place where you strive to be a better person than you were yesterday, today, then I urge you to re-evaluate your life and find your beautiful purpose.

I discovered Jesus as the way, the truth, the life. Don't get me wrong. I became aware of Jesus at a very young age. I entered the church at 13, stopped going due to my inability to cope with the death of my grandmother, and returned at 18. Five years later, I have know been able to see what a wreck I was. God knows I was such a mess. Running from relationship to relationship, filling the voids of loneliness, rejection and what was mediocre self esteem. I needed meaning. I needed more. I needed to see myself in a beautiful light, you know, when you see a beautiful angel and the light is shining at all sides. This is how we need to see ourselves, as God's enlightened ones. We have got to hold on tight to the light and avoid darkness at all costs.

Things got better and I opened my mind to just how beautiful life is but if you want a great life, you have got to understand that it means something. Life means something. Life is what you make it.

Be consistent in positivity, radiate love and wellness. In 2 Corinthians, it is sad ' therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has passed and the new has come'. I have shared my story with you all because I want to inspire people. I want you all to be uplifted and feel blessed.

You can get through anything. Believe in your ability to overcome and when you do, let NOTHING and NO-ONE steal your shine. Yes, there will be ups, yes there will be downs, yes there'll be inbetweens, but remember these experiences are all about changing you, not breaking you. Changing you.

Love and Light,

Kelle
